       Kids On Broadway is a very dynamic production that is specially designed for our younger performers. We select key scenes from Broadway's Best Musicals and weave them together to best highlight the skills and talents of the participants.

AGES: 6 - 12

KOB 2023 Camp is 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM,

Monday – Friday, for the period of two weeks, July 10 - 21, 2023

Tuition is $400.00 for two (2) weeks of rehearsal.

• The Musical Theatre Production:                                                                                  

          A musical theatre production is produced from a script and a score. These productions feature actors, costumes, props and sets. The actors audition, get cast in a role, rehearse and then conduct a public performance.

          Musical theatre productions require a host of “behind-the-scene” staff including: producers, directors, musical directors, technical directors, choreographers, costume designers, costumers, stage managers, house managers, set designers, set foremen, lighting designers, sound technicians, stage hands, box office managers, box office workers, ushers and concessions workers.

• The Audition:                                                                                            July 1, 2023 

          The audition is a sample performance of the actor. The directors use the audition process to determine the level & range of talent, expertise and suitability for casting roles in a particular show.

• The Rehearsal:                                                                                   July 10-21, 2023

          The rehearsal process is a preparatory event in musical theatre that is performed before the official public performance, as a form of practice, and to ensure that all details of the performance are adequately prepared and coordinated for professional presentation.

• The Performance:                                                                             July 21-23, 2023 

          The performance is the activity that exercises and displays the skills and talents of the performer within a troupe of other performers, which is typically performed for and opened to the public. The performance is the culminating event as a direct result of the production’s audition and rehearsal process.

       In nineteenth century France, Jean Valjean is released from years of unjust imprisonment, but finds nothing in store for him but mistrust and mistreatment.

       He breaks his parole in hopes of starting a new life, initiating a lifelong struggle for redemption as he is relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert, who refuses to believe Valjean can change his ways.

       Finally, during the Paris student uprising of 1832, Javert must confront his ideals after Valjean spares his life and saves that of the student revolutionary who has captured the heart of Valjean's adopted daughter.

AGES: 12 - UP

• THE REGISTRY:

              Tuition is $600.00 for three (3) weeks of rehearsal.

• THE AUDITION:
  9:00 AM - 2:00 PM, July 8, 2023
              The audition is a sample performance of the actor. The directors use the audition process to determine the level & range of talent, expertise and suitability for casting roles in a particular show.
              There will be an “AUDITION SHEET” posted on the website May 10, 2023.  You may also submit a video of your audition if you cannot do a “Live and in Living Color” audition.  Please have your video audition submitted by July 5, 2023.
